BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE
Economist at The World Bank
Economist at the World Bank based in Washington, DC, working on social protection and labor issues. Over the past few years, I have led projects and analytics for the MENA and Africa regions.
Both my Master's and Ph.D. are in Economics, with a focus on intergenerational transfers and labor market issues. Prior to my post-graduate degrees, I have also worked at the Bahrain Economic Development Board.
ABOUT ME
I graduated with a Finance degree the year of the Great Recession - not useful at all! If it wasn't for a stroke of luck (and randomness) working at the Economic Development Board, I wouldn't have even thought of a degree or career in economics or global development.
